Commemorate Earth Week By Attending Public Open House at
California Fuel Cell Partnership's Headquarters

(West Sacramento) -- The public is invited to take test rides in fuel cell vehicles and learn about the activities of the California Fuel Cell Partnership by attending its "Earth Week Open House" on Friday, April 23, 2004, at its West Sacramento headquarters facility. The doors will be open from 11:00am to 3:00pm.

"This is a great way to commemorate Earth Week and the activity that is underway to improve our environment," said Catherine Dunwoody, CaFCP executive director. "Visitors can learn about fuel cells, hydrogen fueling, and what steps are needed to bring this new technology to commercialization. Best of all, they can be among the first in the world to take test rides in these zero-emission cars."

Tours will include a presentation highlighting the CaFCP's mission, current activities, and future goals; a facility tour, including a look at one of the automotive bays; a hydrogen refueling demonstration; and test rides in a variety of cars. The tour takes about an hour; new tours will commence at the top of each hour.
